Change the world

01/04/2019

Nelson Mandela University’s 2019 Autumn Graduation season is set to start on a high note with the George Campus Graduation ceremonies taking place on Wednesday, 3 April 2019.

Due to the increase in graduate numbers, the graduation ceremonies in George will this year also be presented per faculty, with the ceremony for all Science Faculty students commencing at 09:30 in the morning, and the Business and Economic Sciences; as well as the Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology faculties taking place in the afternoon at 13:30. The ceremonies will be held at Eden Place (access from traffic circle opposite the Sasol, George Highway).

Graduation proceedings can be followed live as all ceremonies will be video-streamed. Staff, students and family of graduating students who are unable to attend can use the following link http://video.mandela.ac.za/html5/live.html to view the ceremonies.

Guest Arrangements
Each graduating student will personally receive access to three guest tickets and a ticket for themselves. Students will each receive personalised emails from TicketPro (the graduation guest voucher vendor) which will provide a link to the TicketPro website and for each student to access their guest vouchers. These can be printed out in advance or collected from booths from the where Graduation is taking place.

All students and guests will be requested to produce the guest voucher to enable entry into the venue.

Staff entry
Academic staff who are part of the procession will receive a special ticket giving them access to dedicated academic procession parking. This ticket must be shown to security staff.

Student entry
The same scenario applies to students who do not have a guest ticket but wish to celebrate the achievement of their friends. They will be ushered to the adjacent holding venue in anticipation of taking up a vacant seat once the ticket providers have completed an update on actual numbers.

Graduates can obtain information about these sessions from the University Graduation website (https://www.mandela.ac.za/Students/Graduation), as well as indicate their attendance, obtain information on hiring graduation gowns, hoods and caps, as well as information on the photographic packages available for these sessions from this site.

Congratulations to all our Graduates - Baie Geluk - Ntinga Ntaka Ndini
