Change the world

21/09/2012

14th of September 2012 saw the crowing of this Year’s Mr and Miss NMMU George Campus. The event which took place at the campus’s main hall presented the theme of ‘glitz and glamour’ and portrayed exactly that.

Twenty finalists displayed an outstanding performance as each of them hoped to be crowned as the next representative for Mr and Miss NMMU. The pageant ultimately saw contestants, Miss Amy- Caie Simons and Mr Iviwe Konza receiving the title as well as the honour of being the face of NMMU’s George Campus for 2012/2013.

The audience was kept on their feet by various entertainers such as Thami Mngqolo, or better known to his fans as Senzo Dlomo from local TV program Generations. Other acts include dancing and singing by students at the campus.

The evening was co-ordinated by the Student Council and individual students formed part of an Events Committee team. The beauty pageant was an overall success which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience at large.
