NMMU George Campus Madibaz Rugby Club qualified for the semi-finals in their first season in the SWD club rugby premier division after a 31 – 22 victory against Silver Stars on Wednesday evening.

The win puts the university rugby club in third place on the log which will have them play against Progress Rugby Club in the upcoming semi-final contests.

Up to date the Madibaz Rugby Club played 20 matches, winning 13, losing 7 and scoring 16 bonus points with a massive 610 points for them and only 395 against them in the season.

The top points scorers for them this season was their talisman loose forward, Francois Kemp with 118 points from 22 tries and four conversions, followed closely by enterprising back, Christian Willemse with 107 points from seven tries, 24 conversions, six penalty kicks and two drop-goals.
