Change the world

Third Year students from the NMMU George Campus studying towards the National Diploma: Marketing recently visited Cape Town with the objective to learn more about the advertising and print industry.

Students visited Naspers to experience the printing process first hand. They then visited Jupiter Drawing room, an advertising agency where they experienced the heartbeat of advertising, witnessing the process from pitching for an idea to final production of advertisements.

The team, accompanied by lecturer Adele Potgieter, finished their excursion by visiting the offices of Media 24 where they were shown where and how newspapers are put together. They were rewarded with a picture of themselves in “Die Burger” the next day.

All agreed that it was an unforgettable experience which contributed greatly towards preparing them for their future careers.
