Dr Keith Arnolds, a former English teacher and lecturer, with almost 20 years’ – local and international – experience, recently took up the position of Writing Centre Consultant at the university’s campus in George, adding to the capacity of this specialised service rendered by the university to its students.
Teacher education
Originally from Port Elizabeth, Dr Arnolds completed both his BA degree in Languages and Higher Diploma in Education from the University of the Western Cape, before completing a Honours- and Master’s degree in Education at UNISA.
He capped it with a Doctorate in Education from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth.
Local and international experience
Dr Arnolds has been part of the teaching industry for almost 20 years now, teaching English at both high school- and university level.
Apart from a number of local schools, he has also taught extensively in Saudi-Arabia, including a four year spell as a lecturer at the well-known King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Before taking up this current position in George, Dr Arnolds was a lecturer in the Department of Applied Language Studies and Faculty of Education at NMMU in Port Elizabeth.
