The event, which is co-ordinated by the George Municipality, saw 437 learners from 14 primary schools in George and surrounding areas participating in a wheelchair sporting event (wheelchair games) aimed at raising awareness about the mobility challenges that many persons with disabilities face on a daily basis. While the team from Nelson Mandela University, George Campus assisted with various tasks to contribute to the success of the awareness event, they also put their wheelchair skills to the test during the friendly competition.
